Tyne and Wear Archive Service hold a mass of local records, maps, plans and registers. Housed in Blanford House, Newcastle, the Archives provide a range of research services and have developed a useful online catalogue. FARNE has used a range of material from the archives, a particularly exciting find being a rare copy of an original George Ridley song book from the mid 19th century.
